Forgotten Foundations is where we go out into the world with our boots on, set up camp, wander through the trees, climb over stonework that shouldn’t exist, and look for the parts of history that don’t line up with what we were taught. We film, explore, cook by the fire, joke around, get rained on, hike until our legs are done, and bring whoever’s watching into that whole experience with us. Not as spectators, but as people walking the same trail, noticing the same strange details, and sharing the same questions about who built these places and why the story feels edited.
We use whatever tools help capture the truth of a place. Sometimes that’s the 360 camera so you can stand on the ruins with us, turning your head like you’re actually there. Sometimes it’s the regular camera, drone shots, or the simple act of holding something in our hands and showing how out of place it really is. The point is to let you feel the site the way we do, with the quiet moments, the discoveries, the campfire conversations, and the sense that every location has layers hiding right under the surface.
We explore structures that feel older than their official dates. Earthworks that map the sky. Brick buildings that hide older bones. Foundations tucked into the woods like remnants of a civilization that didn’t get erased so much as overwritten. None of it fits neatly into the version of history we grew up with, and that’s exactly why we keep going back out there. Every trip adds another question. Every ruin adds another contradiction.
Forgotten Foundations isn’t about proving a theory. It’s about exploring the places that make you rethink the timeline and enjoying the whole journey while we do it. It’s camping, laughing, hiking, recording, noticing the weirdness hiding in plain sight, and sharing the experience with anyone who feels that same pull toward the forgotten and the unexplained. The adventure is the point. The mystery is the fuel. And the story is bigger than what we’ve been given.
